AUSTRALIAN LANDSCAPES- Bush, Coast and Wetlands

"I'm an oil painter and often paint en plein air, observing and painting local scenes in natural light.

Nearby to my studio is the wetland area of Narrabeen Lagoon with its wide array of native birds, plant and marine life. The changing light and colour of the lake is wondrous and inspiring.

Daily walks along the lagoon trail nourish my connection with nature and inform my sub-conscious with interesting angles and shapes of tone and colour values.  These inevitably find their way into my paintings as twigs, branches, shadows and clouds."

"The beaches and headlands along the Northern Beaches peninsula are also the subject of many of my paintings."
